SIMS Hospital organized a program on 25 November 2016 in their auditorium to commemorate National Organ Donation Day to celebrate the courage and sacrifice of twelve donor families.
Dr Sumana Navin, Course Director, Mohan Foundation gave the key note address and dispelled doubts people may have about the process of organ donation. Mr C E Karunakaran, Trustee, NNOS Foundation, Dr Amalorpavanathan – Former Member Secretary, TRANSTAN and Ms.Sujatha – Manager, Information Systems, Mohan Foundation spoke about the comprehensive full proof system which serves the waiting recipients impartially. Dr Raju Sivasamy, Vice President – SIMS Hospital gave the welcome address and praised the spirit of donor families, who were real life heroes, transcending boundaries to bring life to many inspite of personal grief.
