Inaguration of India's First exclusive center for aortic diseases
- Aorta is the largest blood vessel in the body. Although your aorta is a tough, durable workhorse, sometimes its walls can weaken and bulge in what is called an aortic aneurysm.
- There are two locations of aortic aneurysms. One, in the chest, is a thoracic aortic aneurysm. The other is in the abdomen and is called an abdominal aortic aneurysm.
- An aortic aneurysm develops from a weakness in the wall of the aorta. This weakness can be present at birth or can develop as the result of disease or injury. Atherosclerosis: A clogged or damaged artery from a condition called atherosclerosis is the most common cause of aneurysm.
