Hba1c : 5.7 - 6.4 %
Pre diabetes is a term used when blood sugar level is higher than normal but not high enough for a diagnosis of diabetes mellitus. For most people it means you have insulin resistance and are on way to developing type 2 diabetes mellitus .
What is diabetes Reversal?
To reverse the metabolic abnormalities leading to normal blood sugar without continuing need of any glucose lowering medications.
When do we call Reversal?
Hba1c < 6.5 % following intervention that persists > 3 months without glucose lowering medication .
Who are the candidates we can bring Reversal?
- a) Younger individual with shorter duration of diabetes mellitus ( < 6year )

Diet - whole food mostly plant based nutrition emphazied. Maximized intake of vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lentils, seeds and nuts. Minimized intake of sugar, refined grains, procesed meat.
Diet is the cornerstone of type 2 daibetes mellitus control, treatment and reversal. It out weighs all other lifestyle changes.
