The second phase of Vaccination started on March 1, 2021, for senior citizens above 60 years of age, and people above 45 years of age with comorbidities can register themselves for getting vaccinated.
According to the announcement made by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, CoWin (https://www.cowin.gov.in) is the Portal launched for citizens to register it by themselves, availability of the slots nearby to get vaccinated is subject to availability though.
How to Register in COWIN Portal?
Co-WIN is the official platform for the citizens of India to register for COVID-19 vaccination and schedule their vaccination slots at the nearest vaccination centers. Citizens have to register themselves on the portal. Registration procedures are simple to sign up by entering their mobile number and click on “Get OTP” to key in the OTP received to validate their login.
Step 1:
Open the Aarogya Setu app or log into cowin.gov.in website. Tap on the vaccination tab on the app or click on “register yourself” on the website. Enter your mobile number, click on OTP. Enter the OTP number and click on the verify button.
Step 2:
Enter your photo ID type, number, and full name along with gender and age. Currently, senior citizens (above 60 years) and people aged 45 or older with comorbidities can register to get vaccinated.
Step 3:
One person can add up a register for up to four people by filling out their details.
Step 4:
You can add or remove beneficiaries by clicking on the add more or delete icon respectively
Step 5:
On the “Book Appointment for Vaccination” choose your state/UT, district, block, and Pincode from the drop-down and click on the search button
Step 6:
Choose a vaccination center and you will be taken to the appointment confirmation page.
Step 7:
You can reschedule an appointment as well by clicking on the “calendar” icon below the Action column in front of beneficiary’s name
