CORONA WARRIOR AWARD TO SIMS
SIMS Hospital is proud of having a remarkable and dedicated clinical team who has been bestowed upon the Corona Warrior Award in the recently concluded event for healthcare professionals conference. The awards were presented to Dr. Shafiq Rahman (Consultant – Internal Medicine) and Ms. V. Vidya (Staff Nurse – Intensive Care Unit) in the 5th Medical Excellence Award ceremony on 17- July’2021.
The award ceremony organized under the auspice of World Tamil Chamber of Commerce (WTCC) was a tribute to frontline corona warriors – Doctors who sacrificed their life while saving patients during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic; and also the sleep-deprived unsung heroes including nurses, medical cleaners, pathologists, paramedics, ambulance drivers, and health-care administrators & so on.
The event was graced by eminent dignitaries including Thiru. Ma Subramanian, Minister for Health, Medical Education & Family Welfare, Tamil Nadu and Thiru. Dayanidhi Maran, Member of Parliament.
