June 25, 2018, Vellore: SIMS Hospital, Chennai today announced the launch of its information centre in Vellore. The Centre was inaugurated by Dr. Yasmin, MBBS, DGO – Joint Director, Medical Services, Government of Tamil Nadu, Vellore in the august presence of Dr. Raju Sivasamy, Vice President, SIMS Hospital.

State-of-the-art SIMS Information Centre   situated at No  249, IDA Scudder Road, Saidapet, Vellore – 632001 underlines the SIMS vision of taking quality health care to the masses at affordable cost. The information centre will function as a nerve centre for patients in and around Vellore in terms dissemination of information and patient care management.  The information centre will provide following services

  • Regular  visit by our Super speciality Doctors
  • Information about  treatment cost
  • Pharmacy to be opened shortly
  • Doctors’ appointments  for SIMS Chennai will be done
  • Information on Insurance & Cashless treatment available at SIMS Chennai provided.

Speaking on the inauguration of the centre, Dr. Raju Sivasamy, Vice President – Medical, SIMS Hospital said “The opening of the new information Centre at Vellore will help us build trust with our neighbourhood communities and bring them closer to the specialized medical services we offer. We have constantly been endeavouring to bring advancements in our facility, which is epitomized by the launch of this new information centre.”

The people of Vellore will benefit by having easier access to information and receive the necessary advice on the way forward for treatments, information on unique life-saving and enhancing  services. The  SIMS Information Centre will disseminate  SIMS value-added service details not only to the local community but also reach out to Doctors across the Vellore region who may have a need to refer patients to the Super Specialists at SIMS. The Centre will also help patients undertaking travel to Chennai for treatment, with appropriate advice so as to make them better prepared and informed to avail the facilities easily.
