Why does your back ache so much and how to get rid of it?

A human body was initially designed to walk on limbs. But with evolution, we started walking on two feet. This made our spinal vertical which was by default supposed to be horizontal. As the center of gravity in our bodies changed, the spine started taking most of the weight. While the spine is capable of taking immense pressure and weight, there are a few things that tamper the quality and the health of this bone. Here are some of them:

Improper body posture

Backache can be avoided by maintaining proper body posture. If the muscles that support the back are not given enough rest, they become fatigued, resulting in back pain. To avoid long-term problems, it is critical to support the spine while sitting for long periods of time in a chair. You can also get up and walk around after every 30 minutes of sitting.

Excess body fat

It is critical to understand that body weight is directly proportional to back problems. Our back muscles are built to contract and hold us upright. We stoop more when we have excess belly fat, making the spine muscles work harder to keep us upright. This constant strain on the back would fatigue the back muscles and increase the risk of vertebral disc prolapse. To maintain a healthy body weight, it is recommended that you exercise for at least 30 minutes every day.

Nutritional deficiency

Muscle and ligament nutrition is critical to maintaining a healthy back. Aside from regular nutrients, vitamin D3 and vitamin B12 are critical for keeping the back healthy and pain-free. You can either supplement your diet with vitamin D and B12-rich foods or consult a doctor to get supplements to meet your body’s needs.
It is critical to recognise that early detection of problems is the key to living a pain-free life in the long run. As a result, if you are experiencing back pain, do not hesitate to consult an orthopedic specialist.
